I'm Rick Clark, an artist inspired by all aspects of nature. I work in the mediums of acrylics on canvas and wood engraving on hand cut local woods. I am an arborist, landscaper, and conservationist. Being outside is not just a pleasure but a must for me. I am most at home when I am surrounded by the natural world and all its magic.
Since I was young, I have been fascinated with the outdoors. My art is inspired by my lifelong love of all aspects of nature. I believe there is a place we can reach together through nature that is more than all of us. My art reflects my own personal journey to reach that place. Immersion in nature guides me. By highlighting the beauty of the world and universe on my canvas, I aim to preserve and share visually the feelings of my experiences. To capture frames of my journey.
As I progress through life, I grow more concerned about our planet’s health. To be part of the solution, I work in conservation efforts as well as donating 20% of all art sales to projects supporting the health of our planet. Most recently I have been working 6 months each year for the Nature Conservancy on the Tensleep Preserve in the Big Horn Mountains of Wyoming.
When I am not creating, I spend time with my family and friends, working out, hiking, and exploring the world through travel.
Conservation is my commitment. Art is my passion.
